Who is discussing hate here? The Dragon, if it's your SATA drive, you're all right. I set up Windows using my own drive on my parents' PC without a drive. I left the side panel open and cables exposed from the motherboard/PSU while the drive was on top of the case.
They remain useful for straightforward OS installations, allowing seamless music sharing without needing a USB drive—just download the .zip file, extract it, and run the setup.exe as usual.
Use an old computer with a drive, transfer the files via USB, then connect the USB to your new PC
