Hi everyone, I'm experiencing some issues while playing games lately. First, both my monitors go black. Then, the mouse and keyboard stop responding in the game. If I'm on Discord or a Zoom call, my microphone picks up for a moment and audio works normally. After a short time, it stops completely, and the audio loops without anyone able to hear me. The only solution is to restart the computer—refreshing the graphics drivers via the keybind helps but doesn't fix the graphics issue. It happens in games like VRising and We Were Here Forever. In We Were Here Forever, it occurs during the first cutscene when I lowered my settings to Low, which worked. Even then, I sometimes faced crashes at low settings. It seems to happen only in games, not under heavy load. I reinstalled my GPU drivers but didn't get better results. The strange thing is it doesn't occur when I'm using maximum performance, and I even got a crash notification from the NVIDIA app after rebooting, though I'm unsure what that means. Maybe it was caused by powering off the system too hard. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When dealing with unusual problems, it's important to check temperatures, voltages, fan speeds, cables, and connectors to rule out simple causes. A useful approach is resetting the CMOS memory and applying your preferred settings (such as Expo or XMP). Another test involves using a different power supply just to confirm if the issue lies with the PSU. Updating to a fresh Windows installation can help fix corrupted files and drivers. Finally, thoroughly testing each component on a known working machine is essential for identifying hidden issues. If everything checks out, the problem likely resides in the motherboard. This guide should provide some guidance.

No, there are no error codes displayed in the event viewer.

I left the place with this computer for a while, so sorry for the... delay. I hard-power-off the computer when this happens, so that's probably the 9:06:33 kernel-power critical. It also happened just before then, so here is that Edited October 16, 2025 by rokenrock

It occurred once more. The screen turned dark, the fans roared loudly, and I hit my head against the desk.

I purchased two cables instead of a bundled one, and now the problem has changed. The screens go dark, the graphics card fails, but other functions like audio, voice chat, and the game still work—especially after removing and reinstalling the graphics drivers.
