I recently purchased an Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z for $50 CAD, and it failed SMD capacitors. I'm trying to identify the exact SMD components used since I don't have their model numbers. Also, could anyone share any diagrams of the PCB layout along with the component placements?
50 cad for an old broken board seems like a big deal to me. It feels like a copycat move. I bought an Evga X58 4-way slider that won’t turn on for $26, and I’m worried about fixing it. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll be disappointed. Hope you can send a zoomed-in picture so I can see more clearly. The only VRM image I found is this one.
Hello. Just found something about my old Z68 Maximus IV Extreme Z. Saw this forum and thought you might need assistance. My rig is still running with the old 2600k. Let me know if you need more help and I’ll make sure to take some photos of the board.
