Hi there, welcome! I’m just getting started with building computers myself. A few years ago I assembled a 1800x rig, and this week I decided to upgrade a few components: CPU, motherboard, and RAM. I bought an Asus B550-F (the regular one, not the WiFi version), a Ryzen 5800x, and two 16GB G.Skill Trident Z 3600 modules. After installing these and keeping the rest of the setup mostly unchanged, I’ve faced some issues. The fan control has been inconsistent, though I managed to adjust it through the curve settings. My machine would freeze completely, requiring me to press the power button repeatedly to recover. Eventually, it went black and I had to restart it several times. The first incident happened while playing a game and watching a video on the side. The next two times it occurred right after a restart within a minute. The only clue that stands out is at position 18 in the photo below – the CPU light seems to flash red just before the reset. I’m not very tech-savvy, so I don’t know exactly what’s going wrong.
Ensure all connections are secure and clicked properly, just to be safe.
