Uses between 25 to 30 percent of CPU during idle time?
Hello,
I use two STRIX 970s in SLI with the Asus GPU tweak II for overclocking and have fan profiles set up. In Task Manager it shows I'm using up to 30% CPU (FX-8350 OC'd to 4.4ghz). Can this be accurate? I think the CPU usage is excessive for a fan monitor, am I missing something?

Hello Tamaskan,
I've reinstalled the program multiple times just to get it running. But now I created a new OC profile and it doesn't appear to be using any CPU. I've also noticed that keyboard commands tied to shadowplay can move items in the GPUtweak menu. Setting CRTL to mic and + to video record will trigger the GPU to react. After resetting the OC profile, at idle the fancontrol is currently at 0%. I'll share more updates as I learn more. Thanks for your time.
Also, you might want to try MSI Afterburner—it's more stable, though it seems to cause AMD driver issues for me. For my setup with an NVidia GPU, it could be worth a shot if the GPU tweak doesn't work.
Hi Tamaskan,
I've reinstalled the program multiple times just to get it running initially. But now a new OC profile appears without any CPU usage detected. I've also noticed that keyboard shortcuts for shadowplay can move items in the GPUtweak menu. Setting Ctrl+B to mic and Ctrl+Shift+R to video record will cause the GPU to react. After resetting the OC profile, at idle the fancontrol reads 0%. I'll share more updates as I progress. Thanks for your attention.

Hello Tamaskan,
I've reinstalled the program multiple times just to get it running initially. But now I've set up a new OC profile and it doesn't appear to be using any CPU at all. I've also noticed that keyboard commands tied to shadowplay can move items in the GPUtweak menu. If you bind Ctrl to mic and + to video record, it might trigger the GPU to behave erratically. I reset the OC profile and currently, at idle the fancontrol reads 0%.
I'll share more updates as I continue learning. Thanks for your patience.
Also, you might want to try MSI Afterburner instead. It seems more stable, though it appears to cause AMD driver issues for me. For my situation, since I'm using an NVidia GPU, it's worth a shot if the GPU tweaks are still causing problems.
