Users of Windows 8.1, what do you think?

The information varies across sources. In Windows 8.1, file sizes and storage details aren't always visible by default. Properties like Cut, Copy, Paste may not display correctly either. Without a Media Center, these features might be limited or absent.

We can view file details and attributes, yet there’s no Media Center available—no point in it. If you require a media center PC, consider using Linux.
