It doesn't show here. As you observe, the CPU recommended for AMD is the top choice they provide...you can notice the chip struggling at around 4.7ghz with both the GTX 970 and R9 290 GPUs, putting a huge strain...and it's clear how inefficient the AMD drivers are for those powerful Intel CPUs. The GTX 970 performs much better, not because it's a stronger GPU than the R9 290X, but due to driver performance.

My R9 270 performs just fine compared to 290X or 970 models. The difference lies in other factors, not just the i5's frame rate boost. The 20 FPS improvement you're asking about is likely due to performance bottlenecks with those higher-end GPUs, not the i5 itself.

You'll receive the same frame rate as your CPU can deliver to your GPU... which official tests show varies between 30 and 50 FPS based on how demanding the game is for your processor at any point during play.

The 8350 was causing major delays for high-end cards. My R9 270 won’t be affected since it’s a slower model. That test result looks promising. Check out the frame rates here.
