i bought an hp pvaillion gaming laptop with a core i5 10300h and a gtx1660ti max q. it performed well for two years, but now i’m facing graphics problems. recently, i keep seeing bsod messages about DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, especially during valorant gameplay. it usually happens before matches start, acting as a restart prompt. after the latest nvidia update on 5/12/22, the issue worsened—my gpu stopped showing up in device manager even after disconnecting the battery to reset bios. i’ve spent two hours trying to get the gpu detected, but only integrated graphics work. i had to reinstall windows twice now. all my files are saved on a second hard drive, but i can’t avoid weekly installs. anyone have suggestions? maybe it’s just a software problem? a full wipe might help temporarily, though i’m not sure yet.
I encountered a nearly identical problem on my computer [R9 3900x, 3080 ti]. My goal is to reinstall Windows, but it keeps showing a different error each time. The crash logs indicate a missing file for Windows.
