Threadripper can be challenging with large capacity modules. If the mounting pressure isn't ideal, not every module will start properly or it might get stuck. Also, the board will perform an integrity check during the first boot, which can take a longer time compared to a standard PC, due to its server-grade components. G.Skill memory generally works well on AMD systems, which is what I use personally. If you manage to access the BIOS on a single dimm, consider updating it to enhance compatibility.
The unusual aspect is that I can't get it to activate. But their power seems to be the issue.
