I'm a beginner trying my second build since 2016. I'm having trouble getting my PC to boot after setting everything up. My display isn't showing anything, even though I've connected a PSU, RAM, and GPU. The CPU fans are working, but the GPU fans aren't spinning. When I connect a monitor and keyboard, the system still won't start. It seems the GPU is only active when it gets warm. I've tried using different PCIe cables without success. Anyone have any ideas?

Try using the board's iGPU to see if the GPU shows up in BIOS (it doesn't appear...).

I believed love had ended. I planned to discover which stage of the boot sequence it was trapped in—possibly due to a motherboard LED indicator or an audio warning from the motherboard speakers.

removed my GPU and reset CMOS with a screwdriver and the two pins. The CPU fans are still getting power but the keyboard isn’t working, which suggests the USB ports might not be receiving power. All cables seem properly seated, so I’m not sure what’s going on. The motherboard isn’t producing any sound or lights as far as I could see. I think I probably misplaced the RAM, so I’ll try fixing that and let you know the result. Updated May 16, 2023 by smoothjazzlover

unseated ram was the main problem. I wanted to confirm this thread if anyone noticed a similar issue. Since I wasn’t confident while installing (being new at building computers and worried about damaging parts), I had to apply more pressure until it clicked. Once that happened, my computer started working properly again. There were no further problems during the build except for accidentally leaving one of my two ram sticks unlocked, which I discovered in BIOS—then I had to take apart some components just to secure it, which was quite tedious. Overall, the build went smoothly except for that minor hiccup. Thanks for your response!
