So if the title didn’t clarify, I’m exploring Windows Server because that seemed logical. I reached out online and downloaded a copy. After setting up Freenas, I learned how to combine drives, create a pool, set up a share, and then implement access controls based on IP addresses. Unlike Windows Server, with Freenas I could restrict access by IP, but I’m aiming for each PC and user to have a unique login. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Where I stand right now.
