In reality, as someone making a purchase, I’d skip a broken or altered CPU unless it’s extremely inexpensive. The availability of a new 2700x for $140–$170 with a warranty makes replacing it seem more appealing. Ebay often has overpriced listings and high bids, so starting an auction at $10 could yield better results.
Name it however you like—it's essentially a fully functional 2700x. Many folks won't be interested since they see 'delidded' as confusing or 'overclocked,' but eBay has sold nearly everything multiple times. Use the "completed sales" filter to see what others have achieved.
It seems most people haven’t sold their de-lidded 2700X except for Der8auer. I’m skeptical about that. The only other functional one I know of is mine.
It is not modified and currently retails between $140 and $170 as of 2020.
