Used PC
I considered purchasing a PC with Ryzen 5 2600X, an RX 580 8GB, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 480GB SSD, a 500W power supply that can be upgraded to 600W, a B450M-S2H motherboard, and the cooler MasterMaster MB511D case. I wondered if upgrading the CPU would be necessary since I didn’t feel it was essential, and the overall cost of around 400 euros seemed like a good deal.
Varies with your specific needs, though the 2600X usually handles the situation well.
What country? Used rx 570/580 go for peanuts nowadays with 4gb models at ~35€ and 8gb at ~50€, atleast thats the pricing here in indo but this is a developing country With whats supposed to be the most expensive component out of the way already pretty horrible for 400€ 2600x is worthless, maybe like 30€ but used 3600(x) go for 50-60€ and obliterate it That b450 is probs also worth the same as the cpu with better midranger b3/450 available for ~50€ Used 500w maybe 20€ at most, psus are also worth peanuts on the used market and you can get used 750/850w like the rm(x) or equivalent for 40-60€ Decent case but youve got more important priorities at this budget 1tb is ~40€ 480gb being half that 16gb of ram is worth 30€ so lets just say rams ~40€ cause 32gb is at 50€, not to mention thats mix match so itll be running at an abysmally slow speed All in all pretty horrible for 400€ For what you can build at this pricerange with used everything but ssd id be expecting a used 3600(x) + 5700xt/6600xt (120-150€) + 32gb of ram (depends on how cheap you find used either 8x4 or 16x2 otherwise 50€ new), case can be dumpster dived or you can find a cheap used one, 1tb ssd is 40€, used psu depends on how much budget you have left
I located everything on the old PC. The 400e was fully assembled, but the RX 580 is priced around 100e or higher, and other parts are similarly costly.
Varies by nation, though. The platforms you check can differ greatly. What works well in one region might not be reliable in another. Your local market might be solid, but elsewhere it could be very limited. A 100€ price tag for a mining RX 580 is likely overpriced—probably you're targeting the wrong markets.
