I favor plex, as it's available for your needs. Please confirm if it meets your requirements.

Turn off the video now. First half can handle it; you can share the entire drive, which will show up in a subfolder on the network. It’s simpler to review from another PC than from a phone.

After configuring shared folders on the PC Network, copying and pasting becomes straightforward. CX File Explorer on Android is available here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...r&hl=en_AU On Android, open File Explorer, tap the plus sign, and pick between Remote or Local network. A pop-up will appear—select your preferred connection. It displays a list of PCs connected to the network with shared folders you’ve already saved. Choose whether to enter your password or skip it. Once set up, long-press files to select them manually, then copy. Return to the three main tabs: Local (for phone storage), Main Storage, or Downloads (for phone folders). At the bottom, tap Paste wherever you want. This method works well for tasks like monitoring a video on your shed PC while keeping files organized. I often use it while working outside, and I’ve adjusted playback speed to two times for clearer understanding. If you’re familiar with similar tools, consider muting them for smoother operation.

I gave it a shot and it actually works well in figuring out what I want to watch. It organizes the content into seasons inside a name folder, which makes things easier. However, some animes have three seasons but only two have 24 episodes; Plex removes the third and displays just two seasons. The two shown have 15 episodes each instead of the full 24. If it could display what I normally see, I’d be thrilled—though being smart isn’t always cool!

Synchronizing files requires patience; after waiting, everything should appear correctly. Certain formats aren't compatible with Plex and may be overlooked. Updated November 28, 2019 by noxdeouroboros

I downloaded this version because it looks much more organized compared to the ES app. The Chinese interface is confusing, but the network LAN feature works well. Regarding your question, yes, you’ll need to create duplicates of the files you want to share.

When you make it private, only authorized users can view it. A password feature is available for security.

When attempting to access the shared folder via phone, I'm encountering issues retrieving the password and username. I don't have the password for the PC.
