Hi everyone, I’m exploring a way to keep track of my Windows PC hard drives’ health using my home network from a Windows server VM. This would let me quietly check for drive issues without installing extra software on each machine. I’ve considered tools like Hard Disk Sentinel or CrystalDiskInfo for shared drives, but haven’t found a solution that works. Another approach is running a script on each PC to save SMART data to a network share, then using some software to display it. Have anyone tried this method or has a better way to store and manage the information?

Consider potential approach: initiate HWINFO on targeted machines, enable "Server Role," and set it to auto-start via Windows in main settings. Adjust HWINFO startup configurations to match your needs. On the server side, establish a link with other PCs to gain access to remote sensors. A successful connection grants you entry into the remote devices' data.
