You're looking to link an AC device to your home network using a standard ISP router, then connect that AC to Ethernet via an LBE bridge to extend your network. Regarding PTTP mode compatibility, it generally supports certain Ubiquiti devices but not all, so check the specific model you're using. You should be able to connect to various ACs depending on their support for PTTP, but ensure your setup aligns with your home Wi-Fi permissions and any local regulations.

These AirMax units are designed to connect with other AirMax models for a reliable PtP connection. It's unclear if they function well as long-range wireless antennas. You'd need to experiment to confirm. This TP-Link CPE avoids that restriction.

Offers a client mode though, likely limiting connections to 5GHz networks

AirMax devices can only connect to other AirMax devices. Its a proprietary modification of the WiFi protocol to be more efficient for outdoor conditions.

I have the gen 1s, and the results are truly impressive. I’m pushing them beyond what’s expected by using a tree and a thick barrier.
