Use Ubantu OS to perform a factory reset on your laptop.
I powered on my laptop, which I usually use for daily travel tasks like watching videos and searching online. It reported there was no bootable device. In the BIOS it said it wasn’t detecting my hard drive. I suspect a hard drive failure—though I didn’t have much time to investigate, so I’m relying on what I’ve heard before. If it’s completely broken, I thought installing Ubantu and resetting the laptop would restore Windows, leaving only a 64GB SD card for internet use. How could I do that with Ubantu? It sounds tricky, especially since I’m new to it.
Review the laptop manual for instructions on performing a factory reset. This process is available only if a restore partition is present or has remained intact after previous problems. If you encounter difficulties, reach out to the manufacturer to request installation discs, as they may not have been included.
