You can try installing KDE on your Manjaro Mate system. Since the previous setup didn’t work, you’ll need to begin from scratch. Let me know if you’d like guidance through the process.
It should be straightforward using `sudo pacman -Syu ${package name}`. On Arch, just use `sudo pacman -Syu plasma`. You might need to adjust your display manager so Plasma appears as an option, but without that change you can try logging in via another terminal and then run the Plasma start command.
I tried, I had it, but there was a lot of conflict with Mare possibly. If I manage to get it in the way I want, I’ll remove Mate. But I’m worried about what might be left behind.
