I received the HP ENVY 750-411 (i5 6400/RX 480/8GB for $650 on Newegg). It doesn’t include an SSD, but I’ll add one and plan to install Windows. Can you use the prebuilt Windows license for my fresh install on the SSD? How would I do that?

The Windows button for your machine will be integrated into its BIOS. After setting up Windows, the system will recognize the button and you’ll be ready to use it.

As mentioned earlier, you can switch the drive and any other component except the motherboard and Windows license will ignore it.
