You should open Rufus, select the USB drive, and choose the appropriate format. Since your MSI Z97 G45 supports GPT partitions, you can set it up accordingly during installation.

You're puzzled because someone said UEFI means there are no older systems left? That's correct—UEFI replaced the legacy BIOS setup.

It seems like the task isn’t very challenging—I could simply erase the drive if needed. I’m running an SSD for the operating system and a HDD for other files.
