You have slow internet speeds and streaming becomes very difficult. There are tools you can use to control Steam’s network usage, which might help you manage bandwidth for other activities. Upgrading your Wi-Fi could also improve performance.

At a glance, QoS comes to mind, but I’m not sure about a desktop implementation or whether your router offers it as an option.
