Ensure you're using a Cat5e or higher cable with a length under 300 feet. The problem likely stems from your slow DSL connection. Consider switching providers or upgrading your plan.

You're using a 5-foot Cat5e cable, which is standard. The alternatives—satellite or higher-speed options—can be faster but may not suit every setup. Xfinity's performance depends on your specific needs and coverage.

Customer service score = 0
Pricing details = 0
Costs depend on location, but coax speeds reach up to 1 Gbps with a maximum of 35 Mbps. Switching to fiber offers 2Gbps symmetrical speeds. We’ve been with Comcast for a long time. The most recent plan we used was Internet + Stream, which included 10 local channels and HBO via a Roku app, plus 150/10 internet. First year cost was around $40, next year about $55, now it’s approximately $103. Are these prices reasonable? Also, streaming or TV services often come with additional fees.
Modem rental = $11–$15 (you can purchase your own)
Broadcast TV fee
Sports fee
TV Box fee
These charges vary by area; check local rate cards for exact amounts. The cards won’t list special offers.

I only need internet and an agent told me about switching plans when your contract ends, such as a 1-year plan with 30 dollars for 60 Mbps, you can change to another 1-year plan with 50 dollars for 100 Mbps each year it expires. Also, I’m planning to purchase my own router.

Your perspective will differ depending on the situation. Comcast's support team often avoids giving complete information.
