Hey there, curious folks! I've got a few questions about the new HTC VIVE. How can I play non-VR indie games or titles like Star Citizen using it? And what about running Steam games that aren't VR-friendly? I saw some people manage to get Battlefield running too—any tips or insights?

However, this doesn't launch the game in VR; it only simulates a big screen instead of fully immersing you in VR, where moving your head actually changes your perspective in the game.

It involves software called Vorpx or another stereoscopic injector. I believe Vorpx doesn’t support Vive yet, and those titles aren’t built for VR. I wouldn’t suggest playing BF4 with it right now. I experienced strong motion sickness with Windlands right away—it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Consider getting your VR setup ready first.

Apologies for the oversight—I assumed you were referring to games compatible with VR but not available on Steam. In that scenario, VorpX could work, though it’s generally not considered a top choice due to many average experiences.
