Every half to an hour of idle time causes the PC to cease displaying output, the mouse and keyboard to power down, and the power button to fail. A yellow indicator appears on the motherboard near DRAM, and the only solution to restore functionality is flipping the power supply switch. Your PC appears to be quite recent, possibly built around the current era of technology.

It suddenly ceased posting with a yellow light, removed two RAM sticks from slots 1 and 3. After that, it started again—we'll check if it stays up. If it works now, it's hard to believe my RAM failed so quickly after getting them.

It might be related to RAM errors or issues with the RAM slots on the motherboard. If that's the case, the problem likely lies with the motherboard itself.

I faced a comparable problem with my computer at work. After a power outage a year ago, it wouldn't boot unless I reinserted the RAM (random updates were really bothersome). A few weeks back it completely stopped working and our technical support brought it in for inspection—it turned out to be the motherboard. That was an old 10-year-old board that failed after a blackout. I’m not sure why this one could have such an issue.

Insert a single stick into DRAM slot A2 and execute the Memory Diagnostic Test. Repeat this process for each RAM stick.

It's odd it stopped working after just two years. Perhaps it was a lemon, but it seems very unlikely given how well it performed for that long.

Switched the RAM position and tried 2,4 vs 1,3. Both configurations functioned with 2,4; none worked with 1,3. It seems the motherboard likely has a faulty or empty RAM slot. Unclear how this occurred, but it appears to be the case.

Apologies for the mistake. It was a bit disappointing, especially considering it's a relatively new board.
