You've received a MSI B650-S Wi-Fi board and a Kolink Observatory MX mesh. Some users reported issues with fan control and unusual connectors, mentioning RGB lighting and optional power daisy chains. Others are seeking advice on getting it functional. Let me know if you need more details!

Do you have an image of the fans and connectors? Some fans include physical switches, but they can still be controlled as standard 3-pin fans through the motherboard (you might need to set the switch to maximum). Unless it's a 12V fan, it would be helpful to see a picture or know the model.

Software or firmware allows managing 3-pin fans via the BIOS and 4-pin fans using programs like Fan Control. The daisy chain female header connects to 4-pin connectors with a protective tab, while the RGB header uses dedicated ports. Ensure proper connections are made.

The problem seems limited to male cables only.

They resemble fan terminals.

Sorry about the blurry image, but the male connector you have seems to match the female appearance.

The items you highlighted should link to the motherboard (assuming correct identification). I'm unsure about your specific setup (likely RGB components). Updated on December 14, 2024 by leclod.

It doesn’t seem logical since I only have this single cable. The fans are rotating, but I can’t manage them, and the disconnections remain unresolved.

When every fan is spinning, everything works fine. Irrelevant details like unused headers on the daisy-chain cable don’t affect performance. The main focus is learning how to manage your fans. Are they 3-pin or 4-pin models?

You can discover this by checking the documentation or manufacturer details. It seems they’re connected through a bag rather than directly to the motherboard, so you might need to look up their specific setup.
