Hello, I don’t have a DVD RW drive, but I recently got a genuine Windows 8.1 license and downloaded it. Since I don’t own a physical disc, can I just install Windows 8.1 on an external hard drive or USB stick instead? How would I do that?

It is feasible to convert a USB flash drive into a Windows 8.1 boot device using Rufus (http://rufus.akeo.ie/). Keep in mind that the tool will prepare your drive for Windows 8.1 installation in the BIOS settings.
