You can install Windows from a USB drive by creating a bootable installation media and using it to start the operating system on your 32GB flash drive. Make sure the drive has enough space for the OS and any files you need. Since your school doesn’t have admin rights, ensure the setup follows their guidelines. Your friend can help with the technical steps while you focus on your Minecraft server.

Obtain a Windows 10 ISO file from Microsoft and install it onto a USB drive using the wintousb tool. Profit. (Note: Don't activate Windows.)

WinToGo offers an option but requires certain flash drives and Windows versions. You can try WinToUsb, which supports any Windows OS from XP onward. However, it runs very slowly—boots in minutes and opens apps with delays. Using a certified WinToGo drive improves performance but still causes significant lag, especially for games. I haven’t installed Windows directly on a flash drive myself, but I did use a USB 2.0 drive to install Windows 7, which took about 14 hours for the first start-up. This illustrates just how slow it can be.
