I haven’t located a guide for installing Windows 10 directly onto a USB drive. Most instructions involve creating an ISO file and performing a clean install on your main system, which isn’t ideal if you want to test it on multiple devices without restrictions.
This utility is designed for Windows 8 but functions across various ISO images.
Rufus is available at https://rufus.akeo.ie and Zotac Winusb can be found at http://www.zotac.com/uk/z-zone/zotac-winusb-maker.html
I've already used Rufus, nearly erased my drive. I attempted to run the .exe on Windows, and then tried it from a bootable USB.
You need to move the memory stick from Explorer into the drive, then install the ISO.
Sure, I'd like to use Windows 10. When I run it from a USB drive, I need internet access and the ability to transfer my HDD, regardless of whether Zotacus does the work or not. I've tried it before.
Download the Windows USB installation tool from the official Microsoft website.
Windows 10 offers this functionality. You can transfer it to another device without encountering a crash. Activation issues might arise when switching systems, but you’ll need USB 3.0 at least for smooth two-way communication. USB 2 isn’t compatible and could slow down startup and performance. The current challenge is with the USB 3 drivers—now that I can't assist further, it's uncertain if they'll work. If your external storage uses eSATA, then most problems should be resolved, both in terms of drivers and speed. Check this guide: http://www.howtogeek.com/196817/how-to-c...e-edition/
