Use a smooth font style or adjust the kerning for better readability.
Hi everyone, I'm working on adjusting the font settings on my screen but haven't seen much improvement. I've used the LogPixels approach in Registry, which helps with desktop icons but can distort text in apps or the taskbar. The desktop looks fine on my monitor, though the image doesn't capture it well. My taskbar appears squashed, especially with Epic Launcher. Do you have any alternative methods I should try? The WinDPI Fix seems limited in its results. I own a M27Q Gigabyte 1440p display.
At full magnification the taskbar appears as a 40-pixel tall window, meaning the icon must be reduced to roughly 20 pixels or less. This approach matches typical Minecraft block textures that are 16x16 pixels. Scaling too much results in a muddy appearance. Regarding text, small fonts remain clear because they rely on crisp rendering, while tiny icons lose definition due to limited detail. Cleartype enhances clarity by using individual color subpixels, but this feature is mainly found in font support rather than general icon scaling. Developers might improve this for better visual quality.
