You've just purchased Dyson Sphere Program and tested it on your gaming TV. You're considering streaming it but noticed no cloud saves. Since both systems run Windows on the same local network, you might avoid cloud reliance by copying files directly between devices. This approach works well for short-term needs without extra setup.
Do you have a shared network drive available for both devices? Would it be possible to direct your saved files to that location so they can be transferred between the two systems? Ideally, it should work as a reliable way to copy or paste content between them.
Other methods exist beyond moving save files or using a network share. Worth exploring. Nextcloud might suit your needs too. You can set the desired folder to sync—though it becomes the main directory—and it handles the process automatically in the background. As long as no two devices modify the same files simultaneously, conflicts should avoid. However, setting the sync folder to Users/<user>/Nextcloud means you’ll need to link folders or create a separate user just for saving games, like Users/<user>/My Games.
I can't assure both systems will work together; this seems impractical. I’m not familiar with that particular cloud provider, but you mentioned general cloud options. I used OneDrive in the past for similar purposes. Personally, I lean toward Google Drive, though I haven’t tested their client yet—I’d consider it if it suits my needs. In theory, just configure the save location to sync and it should be fine. As a Steam game, it shouldn’t let multiple PCs run simultaneously, so updates should stay consistent as long as cloud syncs happen regularly.
