Hi all, Is there anyway to check ping to dedicated servers outside of the game? I play Dead by Daylight mostly and I am noticing packet loss in that game. I was wondering what I could do to avoid it. My ping is usually 90-100ms in game. I want to verify it via CMD to check for packet losses.
I would use ping -n 100 <IP/Address> in the command line. To make it work, you must know the server's IP or domain (such as google.com). If you're lucky, you can search online for the address and use it. If not, my approach won't function and someone else might provide a solution here.
Unless your internet connection has packet loss, there’s little you can do. A server might handle standard ping commands well yet still show poor performance, since the issue often lies with the game server software or protocol rather than your network setup. The system could be overloaded while the network stack remains functional.
