You're having trouble accessing a saved file on your desktop. It sounds like the system might be protecting access due to its previous password security settings. Since you have a Microsoft account linked to Windows 10, try logging in with that account again. If it works, the issue likely lies with the file permissions or a corrupted save. You can also use File Explorer's "Show hidden files" option to check for any saved items you might have missed.

just finished loading, why is it so simple? it seems like someone could just pull up a person's account easily. even with a password in place, removing the hard drive and going through the folder makes it possible.

Interesting observation, right? Gaining direct access to someone's storage without encryption means you can retrieve anything they have stored.

If you can't reach it, we must push harder or take a tougher route.

If it's the C drive, that means you're using the primary storage device, not the secondary one

That's disappointing, and using encryption solely through manual file handling isn't practical for most people.

I love it when windows asks that question: "You don't currently have permission to access this folder. Click Continue to permanently get access to this folder." *clicks continue - immediately let's me in* Hacker Man But yeah C:/Users/ Username /Desktop. It's a pretty simple path.
