In reference to my previous comment, I faced problems where my PC would freeze and lose audio and responsiveness during gameplay. I resolved it by replacing the CPU cooler, as the old one wasn’t keeping the CPU cool enough. Now that the freezing is gone, everything on screen stays normal, but I’m experiencing issues with the keyboard, mouse, and sound cutting out. Disconnecting USBs doesn’t help, and all drivers are up to date. This only happens when playing games. Someone suggested it might be a RAM problem, possibly related to instability in Ryzen CPUs. I ran a memtest and found no errors. I’d appreciate any ideas about this, as well as thoughts on whether the motherboard could be the cause.

The key specs are: GeForce RTX 3080 FTW, Ultra Ryzen 7 5800x, Ripjaw G graphics, 8GB x2 RAM, MPG rating, B550 Gaming Plus, Cooler Master ML240L RGB V2, Samsung 870 Evo 1, Samsung 870 Qvo EVGA GQ series, 850W 80+ Gold, and only fan adjustments are overclocked. No other changes were made beyond the GPU and case fans. Issues existed even before modifying the fans. If you’re using a B550 board, start by checking the motherboard’s MSI page and updating your chipset drivers. Previous versions sometimes caused USB problems, so updating the BIOS is important. Use the latest non-beta releases.
I noticed the PC specs weren't included, just to mention a Kraken X73 instead of the Cooler Master. I thought I'd already updated all my chipset drivers, thinking that was the main issue from last month. I'll still check it out and see if it resolves the problem, because there might be something I overlooked.
It seems the issue might have started when you set up the older version first, then updated the driver again. I tried playing some games to see if it worked and haven’t had any issues yet. It’s unpredictable—sometimes it takes hours or even a whole day before it happens.
