USB3 Header issue
USB3 Header issue
Hello everyone! During my PC rebuild I accidentally extracted the housing from the USB 3.0 header—I’m calling this connector the Devil, though I’ve never had problems with it before. My question is, should I reinstall it? I haven’t seen any bent pins. Should I connect it without the housing? It’s okay if it’s loose and might come out, since I rarely move my PC. The motherboard: ASUS B450-I STRIX (m-ITX, no PCI-e extensions and extra USB2 ports) The case: Cooler Master Q300L Here’s a link to another user who faced the same issue. Check it out from 0.55 to 1.15 https://youtu.be/Q6SWIXgtg4M?t=54 PC started, temperatures normal, everything functions properly—just want to use the front panel connectors too. Cheers!
Usually this happens with USB 3 connectors. If the case remains stuck to the cable, simply reinsert everything. Otherwise, it's usually fine—just try repositioning the housing and skip it if it doesn't fit.
