Usb Start Windows 8 Boot Process
You'll need a USB with enough capacity for the Windows 8.1 64-bit installation media.
A DVD holds around 4.7GB, and Windows runs smoothly on that size. Going up to 8GB would be ideal, or you could use an external optical drive when needed—it’s really convenient.
A standard Windows 64-bit ISO typically ranges from 3 to 3.5GB. A 4GB USB flash drive would be adequate.
Even though a regular DVD holds about 4.7GB, a Windows DVD only uses roughly 3 to 3.5GB of that space on the disc. That means it should work well with a typical 4GB USB flash drive.
Verify the dimensions of WIN 8.1 OS. If it's under 4GB, 4GB should suffice. Otherwise, opt for 8GB. I suggest using a large USB drive for future needs.
