USB reports continuous operation for extended periods.
I connected my 32 GB USB drive to the Kenwood car stereo (DDX716WBTM) with around 5 GB of photos and videos. It reports reading for hours yet nothing appears. Could be the large file size being the issue? It functions properly on the PC.
It seems like the car stereo isn't reading the drive correctly. You might want to check if it supports the file formats it's trying to read. If you've used a USB on another computer and it worked, there could be other issues.
Possible causes:
1) The car accepts the file types but struggles with them. Check supported formats.
2) There may be a problem at the connection port—try unplugging and plugging in again.
3) It's a rare issue, but formatting the drive to a standard format (like ex4 or BFT) could help.
It shouldn't be an issue, though it might. It could match the same quality as I had for the third shot, just not quite there.
I’d likely assume the stereo isn’t interpreting the USB drive’s format correctly, or it might not be able to access it at all. It’s interesting that it reports “reading” instead of raising an error. If I’m not wrong, this points to a formatting problem. The suggested fixes #1 and #3 seem to address the same issue.
1 represents the file formats such as mp3, mp4, etc. For this task I recommend converting them to a type supported by the player. 3 involves formatting the USB drive using NTFS. This ensures the device is ready for playback. Edited August 2, 2023 by Stin6667
I'm really sorry about this, but my dad has no choice but to act this way... Your USB will definitely be in great shape.
I believe you've discovered the right item. Please review the file structure and confirm the USB link is included.
