Hey everyone! I recently purchased a fresh case for my snowblind setup and was really excited about it. I upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 9 3900X and paired it with an Asus X570 ROG Gaming-e motherboard. While installing the M.2 drives, one screw came out and ended up in the standalone. At first, I didn’t worry much because the drive still fit and was secured by a heatsink cover. However, when I powered on, I kept seeing the “USB over current detected. System will shutdown in 15 seconds” warning. I tried several fixes—removing the CMOS battery, resetting jumpers, and loading with minimal settings—but the issue persisted. Eventually, I reinstalled my old board and processor into the new case. The CPU fan speed error disappeared, and the keyboard responded properly. Now I’m wondering if the broken screw affected the motherboard itself.

It seems the screw might have failed, possibly affecting the motherboard.
