Today I received a new PC case and while connecting the USB 3.0 port, one or two pins on the connector on the motherboard came out. Visibly, the front panel USB ports aren’t working now. I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do to restore them.

Consider using a PCIe USB 3 card that includes an internal header if you have additional PCIe slots available.

The only idea that comes to mind is connecting an adapter to USB 2.0 and utilizing the USB 2.0 slot on your motherboard. For USB 3.0, consider using the rear ports or install a PCIe card.

if the header is absent, you might insert a wire into the matching slot on the case’s connector and see if it works. for a solid solution, consider using a USB 3.0 add-in card or swapping out the header.

I don't know if the Asus TUF B450 motherboard includes PCIe slots beyond the two you mentioned, as those are typically reserved for GPUs.

Examine the motherboard closely. The PCIe USB 3 cards commonly found work well in PCIe x1 ports. The GPU slots you see are actually x16 or x8 PCIe connections, so they can fit even smaller cards.
