Personally, it should cost just a bit more—around $10 to $20—to get a decent board with built-in Wi-Fi, and you definitely need it. If not, it shouldn’t really matter as long as it functions properly.

Initially, Wi-Fi isn't great, particularly when playing games. Secondly, if you're aware you need Wi-Fi and you're purchasing a motherboard, it makes sense to get one that includes it. Lastly, USB Wi-Fi adapters are poor; opt for PCIe instead.
