I made a bootable USB for Manjaro, but when I tried to boot from it during installation, the system just launched Windows. I noticed secure boot settings in the BIOS but couldn’t locate any options. My HP laptop has an i5-2520M CPU, 8GB RAM, HD 6470M graphics, and 1GB VRAM. Any suggestions?

HP BIOS settings aren't great, but you should head to the "Advanced" section and find the "Boot options" area on the left. There should be a dropdown with choices like "Allow UEFI and Legacy boot." Pick that, click "Save" then exit. Some models might have extra steps for disabling Secure Boot and TPM separately.

Thank you for the response. It seems the solution was using the EPI file instead of the USB boot.

It's not BIOS, it's UEFI. The setup varies by HP model; on my laptop, I can turn off Secure Boot through the Security settings and the boot options menu clearly shows UEFI and Legacy choices.
