USB issue
USB issue
For some reason if I plug a USB device in while my computer is on it isnt detected. At first I thought it was just my USB external drive, but then my webcam wouldn't work (they are on a switched usb hub) so I confirmed this by unplugging my mouse and plugging it back in on the motherboard usb , nothing. RGB didnt light up and it was not recognized.
I tried to disable USB selective suspend to see if that would change it and nothing. This is a brand new issue, literally had no problem two days ago and now I do. I havent changed or added anything . Any idea?
Check if the "Show hidden devices" option is enabled in Task Manager's View tab. Confirm the details of the "switched USB hub": model, number of ports, and whether it is independently powered.
Windows 11 and my hardware are in the signature. The switched hub isn't the problem but it's a Sabrent 4 port hub with separate power switches. I verified the issue by testing the ports on the motherboard back, but it seemed to fix itself. I have no idea what was happening.
Thank you for the update.
I seldom have signatures turned on, so I didn’t mention the system details.
Switching the thread to Solved is recommended.
