The motherboard is the main circuit board inside a computer. USB-C connects via a Type-E connector, and while a Type-E to 19-pin USB3 adapter might work, it would require using the USB3 protocol and consume your internal header. PCPartPicker recommended an adapter for compatibility.

You can either connect the Type-C port to a 9pin USB2 adapter and use the TypeA USB3 front I/O as a USB3 connection, or switch to a 19/20-pin USB3 adapter for the Type-C and then use the USB3 port for the Type-A front I/O.

You can either connect the Type-C port to a 9pin USB2 adapter and use the TypeA USB3 front I/O as a USB3 connection, or switch to a 19/20-pin USB3 adapter for the Type-C and then use the USB3 port for the Type-A front I/O.
