I aimed to link my Raspberry Pi to mobile data, like a GSM dongle. A speed of 1x or 3G would suffice, not requiring high performance. The product you found costs $80 for the cheapest model, which seems suspicious. Flip phones with 3G are available on eBay for around $10. You’re thinking about connecting your Pi to a flip phone via its data connection instead. If that’s feasible, it could be a cheaper alternative. I’m looking for something affordable and reliable for long-term use.
