Just finished updating Windows 7 with the latest drivers, but Device Manager keeps showing a missing USB controller. It’s unclear if this affects your system, especially with your AMD Ryzen 5 2600X and other components. You might want to check for updates or reinstall the drivers.

Typically, AMD doesn't back Ryzen setups with Windows 7 or third-party software for such an outdated operating system. Modern hardware usually requires Windows 10 to function correctly.

Windows 7 doesn't have built-in support for USB 3.x. You'll require the appropriate drivers. If none exist, you must rely on USB 2.0 until you move to Windows 10

Search for the driver with Vendor ID and Device ID. Refer to Device Hunt, PCI ID Repository, or USB ID Database for instructions. They provide documentation. Alternatively, update drivers via software, though this isn't advised.
