I recently received a return for my motherboard due to no post or boot issues. Upon receiving it, I noticed only three USB ports functioned properly, while flash drives worked in all of them. However, other USB devices like a mouse and keyboard didn’t connect at all, and even the case USB ports were limited to flash drives. The mouse, keyboard, or webcam only connected in three specific ports on the back. Additionally, I don’t get any audio output from the motherboard when using headphones. Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated. I’d prefer not to go through another RMA and wait four weeks for a replacement.

I didn’t locate USB keyboard and mouse support in the BIOS. My mouse and keyboard function only in 3 out of the 8 USB ports, while a flash drive works with every port on the case and laptop. I attempted to remove all USB drivers via Device Manager, but Windows reinstalled them automatically after reboot, which didn’t help. The audio controller was already active in the BIOS, so I reinstalled the audio drivers from the Mobo support site. I don’t notice any static when connecting headphones, which is unusual since analog connections often produce it. Any suggestions before returning this to Asus for a return warranty? It seems the issue wasn’t resolved in the first RMA, and I’m worried about being without power for another four weeks if I have to wait for a second return. I’ve been relying on LG’s Android Desktop Environment (basically Samsung Dex) on my phone, but it’s full of bugs now that LG stopped its phone division.
