Hello everyone, I've configured a new computer with these specs: Gigabyte B650I AORUS ULTRA CPU, Ryzen 7900 processor, 32GB RAM, and two monitors. My previous setup had two display ports, but now I'm using integrated graphics, so I'm relying on the motherboard's capabilities. I've tried connecting via the normal display port and also attempted USB Alt Mode as a second display, but the USB-C monitor isn't working. I found online guidance suggesting I need to enable Alt Mode through BIOS, though I can't locate it there. The monitors and cables support DisplayPort 1.2, while the motherboard supports 1.4. Anyone have any insights?

I shared my issue on the Gigabyte eSupport site in hopes of finding a solution. I’ll update you if I receive any useful information.

Hi everyone, after several exchanges with Gigabyte support, they finally told me to proceed with the return. I decided to use the HDMI port for my second monitor and gave up on USB-C. I checked the motherboard docs about the USB-C alternative and wondered if the CPU was the problem. After re-seating it didn’t help. Recently, the system would freeze for a couple of seconds, then restart itself briefly. During that time, any mouse or keyboard input worked, but I couldn’t see anything happen. This suggests the graphics part of my CPU might be affected. I’m hoping someone with expertise can help me figure this out before I consider returning the CPU.
