Hi everyone, I've been looking for an hour without success and hope someone can assist. I need a USB 3.1 Gen 2 extension for my Cooler Master Mastercase Maker 5. After replacing the front I/O panel, they only offer the latest version with USB Type-C 10G and the new internal connector (https://www.cmstore.eu/spare-parts/maste...version-2/). My mainboard lacks the correct header, so I bought a PCI-E card that has one, but the I/O panel cable is too short to reach it directly. I found adapter cables for 3.0 or older I/O slots, but they’re not ideal. Could anyone guide me? I’m especially looking for someone who ships to Germany and might know the right category.

I think you meant “cord.” It’s likely they’re not available anymore. The problem with cabling is that as specs improve, cables become faster but also shorter and fewer options exist. Monoprice once dominated the market for unusual or rarely used cords. They might still have something if it’s needed.

There are some limitations about the maximum length of a 10g usb cable, which I think it's 1 meter. You could have a workaround for but it's a bit messy. You could get a pci-e riser cable / adapter board and hide your usb controller in one of the 5.25" bays as a dvd writer would site there. Example : https://www.ebay.com/itm/UEX101-Extender...3503663109 if your controller is pci-e x1, then you can use a usb cable to extend the connection between the pci-e x1 slot and the adapter board, in which you can plug the adapter card. There's also the x1 to x16 classic version if your adapter card is pci-e x4 or x8: https://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-E-Express-1...HCnpQX7MRA

I wasn't aware of how short a cable a 10g can really be. The PCI-E riser could actually offer the best option. Thanks.
