Hi everyone, I set up my PC in a Dan A4 v4 case with a USB 3.1 Type-C port (including cable). My ASUS B450-i is connected, and the front port powers on but doesn’t transfer data. I’m checking if it’s a hardware problem or if there are compatibility issues. Thanks!
Have you tested connecting a USB port? If the issue persists, try removing the USB 3.0 connector from the motherboard and check for any bent pins.

Hi, the connection you're referring to uses a 20-pin port for USB 3.1 Gen1, while the case you have includes a Type-C port that connects to USB 3.1 Gen2. Are you asking if they are compatible?
The pins on the motherboard are fine. I only get power from this setup. Windows doesn<|pad|> to recognize devices. I’m puzzled about all these USB standards... the Dan case mentions a 3.2 generation 2 port, and it says a 20-pin connection on the board works with 3.1 generation 1.
In fact, @Uptivuptiz confirmed the header matches what's listed on their website. If it doesn't connect, it could be due to a loose plug, an incompatible motherboard, issues with the socket in the case, or problems with external hardware.

Some phones such as Galaxy and iPhone face issues because they contain a USB host controller. Via the legacy 20-pin USB over USB-C connection, it's unclear whether the device is recognized as master or slave. Other models like Huawei function properly. USB-C devices, flash drives, headsets, and keyboards also work. This is why the latest version includes the new Gen2 connector (key-a) for full USB 3.1 support over C-port.
