Hi, your motherboard has limited USB ports and is an older model. Using a 4-port USB hub with a wireless mouse, wired keyboard, USB soundcard, and speakers seems fine. The multimeter showed about 5.22V and 0.42A draw. Plugging it into USB 2.0 should be safe as long as the hub supports that speed and your system is compatible.

The USB 2.0 standard operates at 500mA, which equals 420mA when converted, so it should work without issues.
