Looking for hints on connecting a USB phone and switching it to PTP mode for camera use in Linux? Also, need help with KDE on Manjaro and using tools like VLC or GIMP/Krita.

New Linux distros should automatically support MTP and PTP without any setup.

The method I was looking for lets you use the phone as a camera or capture device. This way, you can press keys on the PC to take photos directly from the phone without needing to send them over via MTP or similar.

I'm not sure if USB debugging tools will function as a PTP device. You might want to know how to use ADB or get direct access to the device as a connected peripheral.
